In art we looked at the work of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai and replicated his artwork. We first drew the outline in pencil then used tea to stain the background. We then created a splashing wave affect by flicking white paint onto it.

Foxes learned a lot about building stable structures through designing, making and testing then tested their own earthquake shelters. Amazingly some withstood the ‘earthquake’ tremors. Well done Foxes.

On Science Day we investigated air resistance. We looked at the air resistance acting on the parachute and also when we travelled at different speeds and with different sized pieces of paper. We then carried out an investigation into how the size, material and shape of a parachute affected the amount of air resistance .
